Transitioning into winter is the perfect time to practice the art of layering. When executed correctly, layering your items allows you to create outfits that are as practical as well as fashionable. Fine layers provide warmth without creating bulk, allowing you to keep toasty without sacrificing your style quotient.
A loose fitting sweater
is an essential versatile item for cold-weather layering. The short length of
this knitted white sweater makes it an ideal accompaniment to the longer length
of the black and white blouse underneath it, and the V-neck of the sweater also
showcases the collar of the blouse. The necklace detail is a great example of
how you can make fabulous accessories out of items you already own; it is
actually a scarf with tassels fashioned into a bow.
Leggings are form
fitting and comfortable to wear, making them a great layering option. These
mustard leggings add a dash of color to the winter whites of the tops and are
thick enough to keep you warm.
The black and white
booties mirror the colors of the blouse, the teal gloves beautifully contrast
with the color of the leggings, and for those moments of winter sunshine the
round metallic sunglasses add a touch of avant-garde eccentricity.
